One of Those.

I've finally become "one of those". The casual player. Not that I was ever super-"hardcore", but I definitely put a lot of time and effort into the game over the years, usually always a raider. I've unhooked myself. I can step into Azeroth when I want to, and be enamored when I'm there, but also step out easily and mostly forget about Azeroth until I log in again on a slow evening.

I'm glad, though. I don't think I'll ever stop playing completely (I love the characters I've created too much), but I feel like I actually have time to do other things, at least once I stop thinking about and have finished moving (I'm moving!). I have a few paintings in mind, and some songs I want to transpose for the cello.

I did manage to finish SCII a few weeks ago, and then worked on SCII and Portal achievements (but that's for another post!). I'd be playing Mass Effect if I wasn't saving all my money until after said moving.

As a casual, I mostly log in to do random dungeons, look at how the guild's progressing, check mail on alts, and level my worgen rogue (slowly but surely). My two mains are only barely geared to enter heroics, not that I've tried them yet. Except for the heroic thing, it sounds like anyone else doing dailies. It's just not daily for me! Oh, and I still read WoWinsider all the time, heh.

Any other casuals reading this? What do you do when you log in? How long have you been a casual, and how much do you play?
